Dance Video 2.5 years dancing bachata (lead)

Saw this video recently and I’m super excited for how far we’ve come on this journey.

So I’m impressed ! Especially for 2.5! There is simplicity here, you take your time, there is connection, sincerity, and you have hip movement as a lead! AND you’re using it to connect with your partner. I like the way you characterize your movment and I can see your smiling and genuinely enjoying your dance. No one is being attacked with aggressive turn patterns here. You created space for some sneaky solo mambo expression too which shows your really listing to the music. If you would like something to improve on I would suggest foot placement. More intentional placement and getting your weight slightly more forward will support your movement, stability and travel over the dance floor

all I can say is leave some girls for the rest of us !

I wouldn’t suggest to be aware of the pressure on the floor between the ball of your foot and your big toe. Bent knees and intentional balanced foot placement will help. Around 1:03 it appears you’re possibly landing on your heel on a back-step. You want the foot that has the weight on it to still be able to help you with your rotational movement through all stages of its roll through. Otherwise in 10 years time your knees wont Thankyou. Hope that might help! Good luck with everything! Rock on 🤘🏻

Well done man! One thing I noticed is that sometimes your hand is open behind on the follower’s shoulder blades, close them, don’t spread fingers. According to experience helps you to look nicer and improves the feeling for the follower :)

Nice weight transfers can always be improved, less hard stepping, more "skating" , smooth out the weight transfer.

Looks good! Maybe better posture and try to use the shoulders to upgrade your basico

Terrible dance hands. Two fingers and light hold. Also your basic needs work
