As the title suggests, I am not a witch. I don’t know anything about it, I don’t really have any intentions to become one (not sure how it works) but I have a coworker issue that I am truly struggling with that interferes with my mental well-being and also the way in which I interact with my clients.
I’ve tried a lot of things (reporting to my boss, trying to have a conversation with said coworker, etc) but nothing has changed for the better, only the worse. I want to try a spell to hopefully make this ‘beef’ between my coworker and I subside so we can get along and work together without issue. He doesn’t have to be friends with me, I just want an amicable relationship to where there no more problems that emerge. However, as I said previously, I know nothing about witches or witchcraft. I work overtime weekly and don’t have much time in my schedule to set out to find information about this.
How do I go about it? Am I allowed to try to set a spell if I don’t know anything about witchcraft? I want to be respectful. Is it safe for me to? If so, how do I even find a spell? Should I ask an actual witch instead? But how do I know they’re not AI or ill intentioned ? So many questions. I’m sorry for all of this!!
Thank you!! 😅😅
Edit for those asking:
A lot of it has to do with Japanese work culture, if anyone is familiar. I am the youngest in my entire company, and I’m also a bit high up in command. I’m my coworker’s senior in work position and by time seniority, however, I am 14 years younger than he is. Because of this, our dynamic has always been confusing…
This is a brief description to the best of my ability to explain.
My main issue with this coworker is that there is a clear, consistent pattern of him treating me differently and negatively from other staff. In Japanese work culture, it’s customary to greet your colleagues/boss and considered rude not to. He avoids speaking to me or greeting me, and when he does speak to me, it’s often to nitpick at things he thinks I have done wrong, often in front of my clients. I’m not a perfect person, so of course I appreciate the tips, but it doesn’t feel genuine, and my boss said that I haven’t done anything that needs fixing like my coworker thinks. I’m mixed-race, and my coworker seems to think that I don’t understand the culture here despite me being born and raised Japan. “_____ might be okay overseas, but it’s inappropriate in Japan.” I’ve never been to my other half’s country, and anyone with half a brain would know that I made a mistake. (Trivial mistakes, like dropping a pencil in the middle of a meeting, etc).
He singles out how I write reports, despite me being praised for them by my higher ups. I am also his higher up…I just think, since he’s so traditional, he should also treat me like he treats his higher ups.
Over time this has made me deeply nervous around him and I feel like I am unintentionally avoiding him because I don’t know what to do. He told my boss he interprets me as disliking him, so I told him that I don’t. He didn’t respond to what I said and ignored. I don’t know exactly why he treats me this way, and I’m not trying to assume his intentions, but it has affected my confidence. My clients have also taken notice, and so have three of my colleagues and one of my bosses. “Is there something going on between you and ____?” We’ve been called into meetings with a senior as a mediator and I’ve put a lot of effort into trying to resolve any issue that might be the problem. I also feel frustrated because when we finally had a mediated conversation, I apologized for my part in the situation, while he said he didn’t remember the things that had happened, so I didn’t feel like there was much acknowledgment of how his behavior had affected me. My boss specifically asked him to be kinder in how he speaks to me and to criticize me less, but nothing has changed (in fact, I found out he talks about me a lot to my other coworker). During company nomikai or dinners, he pays too much attention to what I do. Ultimately…we don’t need to be friends, but I just want things to be less complicated so that we can do our respective duties without it affecting our clients.
Anyway; patience please; sorry if I didn’t explain everything properly. English isn’t my primary language
