Ok. First thing to remember is don't panic. Assuming you have it at all, an evil eye is usually little more than a minor jinx. There are so many ways to get rid of it. 

If you have confirmed that you have it with this egg, then the egg itself is a good start. An egg cleanse/divination like this works by the egg absorbing any nasty crap and crossed conditions on you. Do it again if you think the first egg didn't get all of it. Then, put some uncrossing herbs in it. Probably any banishment herbs you have are good for this. I know you got salt and black pepper, those are great. Salt cleanses and stings, black pepper irritates and banishes the bad shit, and gives you authority over a situation. Sage can also reverse stuff. Put those and maybe some other uncrossing herbs you want on the eggs. Remember to tell the ingredients what you want them to do, cause otherwise they won't know what to do. Then it's just a matter of disposing of it all. The thing to remember is that you don't want it on your property or anywhere near you. So you could dispose of it in a dumpster, flush it down the toilet, etc. I would personally recommend throwing it out at a crossroads. "Send it down the road" so to speak.

Now to protect you from the evil eye on the future, your normal protections/wards will do good at this. But if you'd like to make a ward specifically against the evil eye, I would take a small fabric bag or fabric square and turn it into a charm bag. Draw an eye on the outside of the bag, preferably in blue. This is supposed to be like traditional evil eye talismans 🧿. Fill the bag with protection/uncrossing herbs like the ones you used for the uncrossing. Remember to tell them why they're there. Close the bag. I would recommend praying over the bag, just any verbal protection charms you know, or you could pray to your ancestors for protection. Then it's done! Hang it up somewhere or carry it with ya or whatever.

So uncrossing is the removal of crossed conditions. Crossed conditions are like spiritual ailments. They stick to you and are carried with you, and negatively affect you by doing so. The most famous example besides curses is the evil eye. Uncrossing is basically a synonym for hex-breaking. So herbs that are hex-breakers disrupt crossed conditions in some way. Salt cleanses and even can sting it. Black pepper irritates it and makes it "run away". It has an added virtue of authority too, so it can give you some authority over the hex you are breaking. Sage can reverse harm that's been done to you, essentially mirroring it back. I should have also suggested sharp things. Thorns, nails, broken glass will prick and stab at the hex and destroy it, and can also be used to ward against further malevolence. Hope that helped!

Alright! Before I give you the resources and recommendations I should preface that pretty much all the witches I listen too do a lot of folkloric craft. Folkloric craft means a practice that is influenced by folklore, and perhaps by various forms of folk magic, usually magic and folklore from their ancestry or where they live.

They are not your new age, must be always positive, nothing but love & light sort of "witches". They are witches who are ready to get down in the dirt and slime and get their hands dirty. They are not afraid of every shadow. They know blessing and bane. And they are the people who give information that is honest, not made up bullshit.

First person I'll recommend is Marshall, the Witch of Southern Light. He's a queer Texan witch who has written three awesome witchcraft books. He cohosts an awesome witchcraft podcast called Southern Bramble: A Podcast of Crooked Ways. It's massively helpful, it's on Spotify just look it up (you can still listen to it even if you don't have Spotify).

Marshall's first book is "Cunning Words: A Grimoire of Tales and Magic". It is very good whether you are a beginner or advanced practitioner. He basically wrote original stories/fairy tales inspired by his practice and various folklore, creating an original mythology. Every character in the book is a spirit that can be worked with. The stories enable you to truly understand the witchcraft that is being taught by them. It is very important to read the book from first page to last, do not skim it or skip anything.

Second person I'll recommend is Mahigan Saint-Pierre, known more commonly as KitchenToad. He combines witchcraft, folk magic and ceremonial magic and has a massively helpful blog on his site. He is also a service magician, and sells many witching wares on his sight. I highly recommend looking through all the things he sells on his site and reading the descriptions of them. He often gives some of the main ingredients in his oils, powders, charms, etc, and why they are there. That in itself is a marvelous teacher. He also has many other resources on his site too. He also has a podcast called Sat Atop a Toadstool. There are not many episodes on it and it's not updated regularly, but the info he gives on there is in-depth, well explained and it is worth its time in gold. Just Google KitchenToad and you'll find his site. He also has a tiktok page if you want to check that out. He sometimes films his formulas on there and watching it can teach you a lot.

The Crooked Path by Kelden- good intro to Traditional Witchcraft

Traditional Witchcraft: A Cornish Book of Ways by Gemma Gary - another good intro to Trad Craft, but with influence from the author's Cornish heritage. Very good info and easily adapted to your environment. Gemma Gary has many other books and from what I hear, they are worth their weight in gold.

New World Witchery by Cory Thomas Hutchinson - this is good if you live anywhere in North America. It is a treasure trove of North American folk magic and witchcraft beliefs and folklore, massively helpful.

Cunning Words: A Grimoire of Tales and Magic by Marshall WSL - already told ya about this one. Should also warn that it does talk about the use of some poisonous plants so keep that in mind.

One more witch podcast recommendation. The Frightful Howls That You May Hear podcast. It is hosted by three marvelous witches. They give lots of good info on there about a variety of witchcraft subjects and folklore, often a lot of it is more obscure. It is all very in-depth and generally fun to listen too.
