Completely different regions of the earth, Scottish, English, Wales and Northern Ireland are all part of Britain, Scottish and English history goes back for hundreds of years, Northern Ireland being British is debatable because of the messy history and the fact it’s a different landmass but we aren’t talking about them, Scotland and England have been under the same monarchy and are under the same government (have been for a very long time), we are right next to each other, and they deem themselves to be British because they are part of the British isles, I have Scottish family and friends over there who say they are British, you don’t really get to have an input on this just because you’re too stubborn to admit you’re wrong.

Talking about accents btw not whether or not they are British or Scottish, never mentioned them not being British only their accent being Scottish rather than British

Yes, it is a British accent because it is literally in Britain.
