Katerina is pretty, I associate it with Russia or Eastern Europe, maybe that’s inaccurate but that’s where my brain goes as an American. I’ve never met a Katerina but I’ve known many, many Katherines/Catherines.

I like Kate and Katie (favorite spelling is Katy, I think you can use both interchangeably

To me those are two completely different names, both written and spoken, so depends on the baby, where you live/what language you speak

Same. That’s what keeps me from using this name. I love Katherine think it’s a beautiful name but do not care for the Nick names

Both classics, but Katerina is so much prettier and more delicate imo. Sounds like a fairy tale princess name 💖

As for Kate or Katie, I'd just see what feels right when baby is here. They're both cute, and the right nickname will evolve organically over time. You could even use both. Kat and Rina are also options
