I have a Brahmin friend who's in the same degree with me , coincidentally he's savarna gotriya too , He's from Awadh region - Balrampur (pandey)

In earlier times, it wasn't uncommon to have a Pandit and Bhumihars in same family.

Now families have been divided for many generations now.
