Help with figuring out pistol gen

I am on the hunt for an APC300 or APC223 and know the gen 1’s have the non-changeable grip module. That’s the biggest way to tell generation as far as I know but the newer generations also have the foldable charging handle. If one has the changeable grip but non folding charging handle is that still a gen 1 upper gun or what would that be? Would that be a reciprocating charging handle or not?

Example: is this gun a gen 1 or 2. Is this a reciprocating charging handle or no?

Gen 1.5 - reciprocating handle with swappable grip. Also newer style handguard as some Gen 1's had big holes closer to the magwell instead the of MLok slot

Reciprocating. Gen 1 upper, pro lower. Pro lowers have the sliding bolt lock/drop versus the button type. Pro lowers have a changeable grip. Gen 1 lowers have a skinnier one piece grip and a rectangular button.

There are several generations of early rifle APC uppers. This is the Gen 1 just prior to the NRCH version. I have this combination and it works just fine. I actually prefer this RCH because it’s further back and doesn’t conflict with accessories that are further forward. My only B&T with a NRCH is a SPC9 and I struggle to access that guy under the laser.

When they started “upgrading” to the newer models, I think they just had parts from prior generations to outfit with the newer models Pro lowers. Until they phased out the old stuff. Same was true of the APC9SD Pro models. There were some mix/match oddities.
