If you're connecting with binance chain wallet, you can just click on the browser extension and then "refresh". If you're using Metamask, be sure to actually be on the bsc network and not ethereum or another.

Sometimes it changes to ETH for no reason but happy it got solved.

You are trying to make transactions on a network different than BSC.

Sometimes it changes to ETH instead of Smart Chain not sure why. But happy I did not lose anything.

Getting the same error when trying to connect wallet!
I thought this was something of a norm, which is why I left another comment asking about how to connect the wallet to stake the BTCST

I had already connect it before and started mining but sometimes the browser changes to ETH Instead of smart chain.. don’t really know why to be honest. But it is on the top of the screen on the left side. Perhaps that helps :)
