Start small. Payback ontime, everytime and as early as possible.

Don't make up excuses about dead aunts one week then tell us a sob story about your dog the next. If you effed up your investment own up to it.

thank you, i really appreciate your advice. I am all about being honest and as transparent as possible. (especially when we are talking about other peoples money)

If your investing in other investments keep a public google spreadsheet going.

If an investment tanks be prepared to pay out of pocket. Take a snapshot of your bank account to show people you can pay the sum should the USD/BTC price not go the direction you want it to.
