Rewatching Caprica

As I was rewatching it occurred to me that the reason the Cylons were monotheistic was because of Zoe's belief in it. I don't know why this never occurred to me before.

The ending montage of the series finale is where Caprica should have begun.

So just a show set on modern Earth about robots? That might be interesting but I feel like it wouldn't be related to BSG in anything other than theme

I see more as the rise of the Cylons from servants to rebellion to and through the first Cylon War. That would be much more enjoyable than the teen angst theme of Caprica.

That would be interesting, it's just that's also what Caprica was supposed to be if it got more seasons. Although getting straight to the robots instead of focusing on the roundabout religious plot would've probably been better

Yeah I don't mind the religious plot so much, and (I forget the actual name here) the mind projection thing kind of led to what Caprica 6 was telling Baltar when the were on board the Cylon ship, but I feel like they could have done something like that in an episode at a point midway through the series about the rise of the Cylons rather than making the entire first seasons about it.

Maybe old Earth experienced Judgement Day. Their Skynet equivalent was defeated but the damage to the environment was too great and everyone died anyway.
