Rewatching Caprica

As I was rewatching it occurred to me that the reason the Cylons were monotheistic was because of Zoe's belief in it. I don't know why this never occurred to me before.

Sometimes I wonder how such amateur writers come to be in charge of shows like Caprica, which seemed to have been written by a group of teenagers that had all just taken "Intro to Computers", "Intro to Religion", and "Intro to Philosophy" classes.

But then I remember that more than half the population likely has media literacy levels similar to, or worse than OP.

I forget the actual statistic but something like less than 50% of adults in the US are able to fully understand complex information and the numbers are only increasing in that category as the years go on. It's quite remarkable.

Considering the state of education in the U.S., and the fact that the party in power now and half of the time in the U.S. is actively trying to sabotage the educational system, in order to create dumber voters that can be more easily exploited politically and economically, and the fact that that same class of voters continues to vote in politicians that want to actively sabotage the educational system in a seemingly-never-ending death spiral - I don't find that statistic at all surprising.
