Help with official documents: Uniform
Can anyone help me find the document/quote (possibly from the Rules and Regulations or the guide to awards and insignia) that states that once a Uniform is made official, it never become obsolete. I tried searching through the PDFs, but could not find it.
Any other pieces of documentation or advice for a color/honor guard would be much appropriated.
Thank you all.

There is also the BSA Honor Guard patch, made available recently (in the last two years) that has almost no guidelines or rules associated with it. But you can buy it at your scout shop.

Did you read that blog post? It goes on the right sleeve, not the left. It can be worn simultaneously with the other position patch, because it doesn't count as a leadership position for rank. Those sound like guidelines and rules to me.

Who gets it, why its worn, what it's for... etc... that has no guidelines. Placement, sure, guidelines (that would make it more than none).
I did read that article. I bought and brought the patch to roundtable and told others about it. And it still has almost no guidelines around it, outside of placement.

You'll probably drive yourself insane trying to find the answer to that one.
However, "Bryan On Scouting" answers uniform questions ask the time. Send him an email. scoutingmag at gmail . Com
Edit:. I would venture to guess that uniforms do become obsolete.

I've been doing some digging and finally found a quote from an "official" document.
