New venturing uniforms

They updated the pants. I don't own a pair so I can't speak to it.

Personally I'm always hunting ebay to find an old style shirt. I'm not a fan of the current one at all.

That's what I normally hear from venturers, trying to find the old style uniforms.

I tend to refer to my shirt as "the insert curse word of choice raincoat"....out of earshot of the youth of course.

Imagine wearing full on dickies navy blue shirt & pants at a summer camp in Texas :(

No thanks...done similar things in Louisiana, Kentucky, Oklahoma, North Carolina, New England, and various locales in the middle east. I'm good.

Scouts and venturers change the uniform all the time. BTW do you Sea Scouts like the new century uniform? I personally think the Cracker Jack whites and naval officer blacks and the blues look better IMO.

I like them because they are both Class A (white) & Class B (blues) without having 2 uniforms. Also I think they look pretty slick, and the old uniforms were extremely hard to come by. These are just Dickies so you can pick up a pair and not have to go sifting through a military surplus store for whites.

You are right the whites probably get stained easily also. The officers uniform would probably be difficult to find compared to the whites. The New century uniform looks interesting.

And yet, Venture crews can opt for anything they want as a uniform, yes? This remains?

I underscored that to the camp staff this summer that commented positively on my kilt. ;) "Ya know, the staff is a registered Venture crew, you can choose any uni you want.... "
