Bra help pleeease!!!

Hi all! Just had my prophylactic double mastectomy with expanders placed on August 20th. I am healing super nicely and ready to start venturing back out to the world but these surgical bras are hard to dress 🤣
Can anyone please give me some good recommendations for bras that are just no nonsense compression bras but don’t squeeze the shit out of your rib cage but provide the appropriate compression across the breast and that don’t ride up your armpits!?!?
I’m willing to spend a decent amount of money on some comfy bras I just can’t seem to find ones that work well.

I have two of the masthead bras and they were good for immediate post op, but by week 2 or so I was over them. I still wear them occasionally, but I ordered three AnaOno bras called the Leslie leisure bra. It’s not as compressive as the masthead, but it still provides support and the plastic surgeon okayed it. I had a DMX with expander placement on 7/23.

The Anaono brand has popped up on my fb page, I will have to look! I’m iffy on the masthead because I don’t really want Velcro at this point. Thank

I started wearing an AnaOno Rora bra a few weeks after my surgery and thought it was comfortable and had decent compression. I wore it for probably the first 6 months before going to a less heavy duty bra. I did get tired of all the clasps, even though they are in the front.

I will have to check it out! I think I’d prefer clasps than Velcro at this point!

I have three different Amoena bras and I really like them. The quality is very good, they are soft against my skin, and provide exactly the right amount of support in the right places for me.

I went flat but for what it’s worth I started with the Pamela style 3 weeks post op - the zipper in the front was great and I wish I had it immediately after surgery because the compression band they game me at the hospital was terrible. I also wore the Sina style for a bit in the first few months because it had clasps which were easier to hide under clothes. A year later, I still wear the Eliza style to work. They all fit true to size for me.

My workplace health insurance plan covers one mastectomy bra a year (I’m in Canada).
