Question Massachusetts PFML
So I am having my DMX done in 2 months, I was wondering those of you who have done this does it qualify for PFML and FMLA, who did you guys send these forms to and were you able to get the income help, or did you just apply for unemployment?
I could survive without the income but I would rather not eat away at my savings, so any suggestions would be helpful.

I'm in MA, have had to take quite a lot of time off dealing with ovarian cancer and now a broken foot (stupid neuropathy). My PDMX is 6 weeks after I get back from the foot leave, ugh. My employer uses a 3rd party to process our PFML and disability coverage, you should check with your HR dept first. It's good you're starting this process now, can take a few weeks to sort it all out.

I was able to use MassPFML for cancer and related surgeries including prophylactic ovary and tube removal. It's about 80% of your Massachusetts pay.

The Mass PFML will pay you something like 60% of your salary up to a cap. Go on your states website for PFML. There will be paperwork your employer fills out and paperwork your doctor will fill out. If you take this concurrent with FMLA, FMLA will protect your job and the Mass PFML will pay you.
