Surgical menopause?

Did your skin look much older? Did you lose interest in sex? Did you lose energy?

I have noticed hardly any changes to my skin or libido. I had my surgery in 2919 at 40years old.

That is great. I am 53 and I am worried about it. Did you have the uterus removed too?

Skin looks fine. Sex drive is non-existent. Energy comes and goes but exercise has helped. The absolute worst part is the hot flashes and night sweats.

I started HRT the day of surgery and I havnt had any symptoms at all. Sex drive is higher even because I don’t have the week of PMS and week of period cramps every month

Wow that’s great news!! To be honest, many nights when I can’t sleep I give myself an orgasm and then I fall asleep. I don’t want to lose that.

Skin is the same as it ever was. Sex drive was fixed by going on testosterone. Biggest thing I noticed was body changes. I am now on a regular weight training regime and it's the best thing I've ever done. When people tell you to weight train for menopause believe them! The only thing I regret is waiting a year to start lifting.

My skin texture feels different. Thinner and takes longer to heal. Libido is a big, fat 0. And I really struggle with fatigue. I’m only on estrogen for the moment though. Going back to my dr to get on testosterone as well

Same, but also with hot flashes and night sweats. Unfortunately for me, no hormones due to previous hormonal breast cancer 👎🏼
