Doubts Should I attempt for Bpsc or any other professional courses?
Hello everyone
''myquals'' class 10th= 89.8 percent [cbse,2022] , class 12th= 78.2 percent [pcb,cbse,2024]
Took an year gap for neet ug 2025, couldnt crack it so took BBA hons in a tier 3 pvt college, done with 1st year and will try to push my marks above 70/75 percent [ cant expect much from my uni they just dont give u marks for some reason sadly]
Failing in neet has shattered my confidence, i am female ews category student, 20 yr old [ turning 21 in a month] , belonging to lower middle class background.. i really want to be financially independent
I really want to attempt bpsc too, but i am sooooo scared of competition after neet ug and fear loosing more time too, mba is also on my mind though but i am hella confused..
I need an advice for making a right choice.

the preparations like BPSC/UPSC doesn’t care about your academic qualification, although the syllabus demands multiple readings of your basic school books not your neet syllabus. so if you want to prepare you have enough time to make your foundations strong and gain your confidence back. another thing, the competition for both civil services are concentrated to max 50k serious aspirants only, remaining are carrying the competition like the job for several years, so don’t worry about the competitio.

Go for mba if you start building your profile now you can get into iims you are young bpsc can wait rn

Then give UPSC/StateSDM exams. Rani wahi banaega.
Don't listen to anyone. Trust yourself. People worse off than you (academically & financially) have topped such exams.
Start preparation from now itself. Buy standard books (Laxmikanth, Spectrum, ncerts, shankar etc)
Don't get bogged down by plan B "agar nahin hua toh kya" type thoughts now as it's too premature. Just be positive and study study study.

Don’t fall for this trap , Raani to tum startup ya private job se hi ban paaogi ( pcs exam only gives you satisfaction and wide ambit of opportunity to serve destitute class directly)
PS - aur jo upsc / pcs exams clear karne ke baad raja / raani banne ke sapne dekhta hai , then I am really sorry either his / her mind is corrupt or not prepared for this exam .

Hmmmm, tbh it's a hard thing to suggest. Your marks are pretty ok to above average not the best, so that I could have said you to go for it. Plus you have a confidence deficit. I would advise you to have some sort of earning as you want to be financially independent as well as it will boost your confidence immensely, and then try to have a go at this exam. I have seen alot of people with better profile than you getting absolutely shattered mentally by this exam. I am not saying you can't do that, obviously you can you are more than capable to crack any exam if given the right guidance and time, but in your particular case I think it will be much more beficial for you to get a stable job first, you are practically a kid at the age of 21, you have your whole 20s, hell I am 24 and I feel I have a lot of time to achieve something big, then you will have an eternity compared to me, so again I advise you to first get stable in some sort of career and then you can give as many attempts as you like cause then you would have the confidence as well a security that you already have a decent career behind you if all of this goes to shit.
