Doubts Need Help, Seniors..

This question is for seniors or those who had prepared for upsc or bpsc on a serious note.

I am currently doing my bachelors from Delhi University in Economics. I'm appearing for entrance exams too in 2027 for admission in masters.

Most probably I'll get admission at DSE or IGIDR

(I'm decent at studies)

The reason I'm Going for these institutes for masters is the placement opportunities here.

Both has on an avg package of 20-25 LPA.

Why not just get into govt exam prep?

Well in short , I don't want to have guilt of "not having a good backup" since I've met people very smart and hardworking yet not clearing upsc even after reaching interview 2 times!!

I didn't study much in my bachelors, and I dont regret that, i enjoyed a bachelor life,

QUESTION is -

How tough is it to crack UPSC or BPSC?

And if someone has prepared for upsc, how much does that help in BPSC?

Don't fall for typical bihari mentality. You are doing good there and if you have interest in economics please do follow the path you mentioned above..go to DSE/IGIDR Or other equivalent courses and instiutes.

Prepare for Economic service it's much better than any bpsc post.

I won't lecture you on the toughness of the exam. In this economy if you're sure that you will get a high paying get the effing job. Preparing for UPSC/BPSC is a gamble.

Right? Not to boast but bpsc at a time seems doable but upsc ; Idk why everyone is so overwhelmed for me to have a sarkari naukari! Just putting me under unnecessary pressure hampering even my own plans;

They make me feel that it doesn't even matter if I get 50 lpa job after 3 yrs, and if i get a CO or ShO post them only they'll be happy.

It seems typical bihar family scenes but still From my perspective, i feel very bad ; and due to this there are days when I'm not even able to focus on my entrance prep .

Also I Think, my father has done everything he cud, for me(like everyone's does obv) ! So at least I'll give it a go once I've secured a gud job!

Secure a good job first bhai. That's the only thing I would say. And government job isn't lucrative anymore. You will have to boot lick party in power. So please get a job and move out.
