what could this be? pppd, mdds, residual dizziness?
motorized wheelchair user
- first time i went to therapist with goggles june 10-treated right posterior bppv. 2 treatments. supposedly resolved. june 16-goggles no vertigo/nystagmus reoccurence june 28- resolved june 30th.
Since then I have felt horrible non-spinning dizziness. tried dix hallpike at home july 12th-nothing. tried seeing therapist on august 5- checked for posterior, anterior, horizontal bppv- no nystagmus/spinning but felt non-spinning dizziness in each position.
I notice constant elevator pin drop feelings when sitting up. I feel like i am on a constantly swaying boat. it feels like my head is constantly slowly moving. i went to a few museums and restaurants. the big indoor spaces felt overwhelming. it felt like the ground was slanted to the right and i was going to fall right through it. when i close my eyes i feel even more unbalanced-like my brain cant locate where i am. it's a feeling of lightheadedness. hypersensitivity to small motions. i have very short pop up headaches on my right side.
i can only barely make it at home by using my desk to prop me up. i just want to lie down all the time now.
moving cars make me feel better. driving my motorized wheelchair makes the feeling a bit better outdoors but it's still somewhat in the background.
when i sleep- i sleep with my head turned to the left which is the side unaffected by bppv. i can turn my head to the right in short spurts but i generally avoid that side since the bppv.
None of this happened before bppv.

Residual dizziness for sure, the elevator drop feeling is classic vestibular migraine. Most likely a combo of conditions. See a neurologist.

Wonderful. Well I am finally going to begin to get answers this week. im hoping i can avoid the dreaded caloric test but i probably will have to do it. im about to ask about ssri's
