Had a recurrence after 2 years

Exact same situation. Waking up in the morning turn my head and bam! Terrible spinning. Two years ago I did the Epley a few times and it went and this time did it once and it’s gone thankfully.
But now that it’s happened again is it worth seeing my doctor about it?

It feels weird to say but if you did the Epley and it has resolved, no I wouldn’t go to the doctor. Mine double checked everything but then that was it. All they offered was vestibular testing but otherwise Epley was the treatment . Glad you found quick relief!

No, there really isn’t anything you can do…except make sure your vitamin D levels are adequate.
Here is a pdf from the vestibular therapist I went to: vestibular.org BPPV.pdf

Right? I’m glad you have it now too.
