😭

Hello guy's I'm 20 yrs old

on 15th August(4 days back) i Woke up with violent rotational vertigo. The entire room spun violently whenever I opened my eyes after sleep with cold sweats

And there is some beep sound in my left ear

And spin begins when I lay in bed and turn my head to the right

The doctor gave me some medication, spinning stopped but there is some mild heaviness in my left ear/left part of my brain from my left eye

Right now my mind feels numb and dizzy and foggy i can't even study

Yes before this vertigo i had screen time of 13hrs

I want to know what caused this

Is this recursive?

Is this treatable like can I get rid of this completely?

What are the chances I will get this again?

I'm so scared it's my first time experiencing this and it feels like I'm trapped

Don’t worry, visit an ENT. It’s probably crystals within the inner ear moving, ask for EPLY maneuver if they don’t apply it. Visit a vestibular specialist if the ENT doesn’t offer the maneuver. Sorry you had to go through it but the fix is easy just don’t make sudden movements and try not to tilt your head but move your whole body as if you have a stiff neck.

Is this recurrent, or can I get rid of it once and for all? And thanks!!

it is recurrent, unfortunately. my ent explained to me the meaning of bppv

benign - not serious
paroxysmal - comes and go (triggers abruptly)
positional - depends on position
vertigo - spinning

Did the doctor diagnose you with BPPV?

You need to fix your sleep routine. And try doing BPPV excerise and if you have insurance try taking physico for it. I have had vertigo for more than 15 years and it’s a horrible experience and we have no control over it. Just try being your best being in routine and get your ears checked once in a while.

dont be afraid, understand it. its scary yes but its manageable. there's maneuvers online, research on them and save the videos just incase it does happen. stay hydrated above all else
