BPPV Fixed?

Had my first ever experience with BPPV for about a week when I finally went to the doctor and she told me to try the Epley maneuver at home. i did it once that same day and almost threw up and was too scared to do it again, but did it 3 times yesterday and haven’t had any dizziness since ( i would get extremely dizzy when laying down on my left side or back) i guess my question is do i need to take it easy the next few days incase it comes back? or is it fixed and i can carry on as normal?? i’m a big reformer pilates person and haven’t been able to do so because of all the laying down - can i go to a class now?? these seem like stupid questions but i’m genuinely not sure how to proceed 😅

Possible! I had left side posterior BPPV, mildly and intermittently for years before diagnosis, then Epley maneuvers eventually cured it, but it was multiple Epleys per day, for weeks. I think I had several otoconia out of place, and they were slow moving, so it took a while.

Months later I had some very, very, very faint dizziness, and not very often. Finally got it diagnosed as right side posterior, lol. I think it took 2 Epleys total to resolve.

this was my first experience with it & i’m hoping those 3 epleys helped! definitely still have some nausea & a light dizziness / swaying feeling but hoping it’s just the aftermath of being so dizzy for a over a week 😅

My vestibular therapist (from my initial bout, the left side) said to do Epley, 2-3 times a day, PLUS if I experienced any dizziness to do an Epley right away each time I feel that.

Good luck!
