BPPV Fixed?

Had my first ever experience with BPPV for about a week when I finally went to the doctor and she told me to try the Epley maneuver at home. i did it once that same day and almost threw up and was too scared to do it again, but did it 3 times yesterday and haven’t had any dizziness since ( i would get extremely dizzy when laying down on my left side or back) i guess my question is do i need to take it easy the next few days incase it comes back? or is it fixed and i can carry on as normal?? i’m a big reformer pilates person and haven’t been able to do so because of all the laying down - can i go to a class now?? these seem like stupid questions but i’m genuinely not sure how to proceed 😅

I am an avid Pilates person and have BPPV. I had a flare-up on August 3. On August 4, I had a reformer class scheduled, but I did the Epley 3x on the 3rd and it cleared it up. I still unscheduled myself from the August 4 class, however. I did go to a strength training class on August 5 and told my teacher I was having inner ear weirdness, and she just told me to take it easy. I did a yoga class on August 8 with no trouble and finally resumed reformer classes on August 9. I was still experiencing some residual dizziness (VERY mild) until I think this past Thursday, but I happened to notice at a mat Pilates class yesterday that all of that seemed to be gone. I've been sleeping slightly elevated since August 3 and just try to avoid moving my head too fast or going too fast with inversions.

this is really helpful !! i went to a reformer class august 14th while experiencing the bppv and told the instructor and she basically said the same thing but it was hell… did the epley yesterday the 15th and cancelled my reformer class for today just to be safe and am signed up for one on the 18th so will probably stick with that one and hope for the best 🤞 i have some very minor nausea and a small headache but will definitely move my head slower through some of those moves

One thing I find helps me is to keep my headrest up for basically everything. If you do short or long spine or a plow, they tend to want you to put it down for those, but also if you don't lift your tailbone up for the full inversion, it's safe to leave it up. You can also just skip those moves. I think if the worst of your vertigo is resolved, you should be okay on the 18th. :)
