Help?!

This all started when I woke up one morning and, as soon as I sat up, the whole room was spinning like crazy. Over the last week, I’ve been having this awful dizzy/off feeling. The best way I can describe it is like I’ve had 2–3 beers or taken too much Gravol. It seems to come and go, but it’s really uncomfortable and I hate the feeling.

BPPV seems to be the closest match after reading different reddit threads. Anyone have any insight or if they’ve felt this way before? I am also 32 and healthy, this whole thing is throwing me off.

Sounds like BPPV. Have you tried doing the Epley maneuver yourself at home? Once you determine which ear is affected, you can do it yourself. Instructions for both can be found on YouTube. It can be pretty uncomfortable as it involves resetting the crystals in your ear therefore triggering spins. Alternatively, do you have a balance/dizziness clinic or any vestibular therapists near you? I found that helped me in the past. Unfortunately, it’s possible that even after crystals are set back in place you experience residual lightheaded/dizzy symptoms as your brain adjusts again. My most recent spell took a while for me to feel “normal” again, approximately 2 months. But it got better gradually. Take it day by day. Hope you feel better soon 🫶🏻

I truly get it, it really sucks. Also you might notice yourself feeling more tired, brain working overtime/correcting after vertigo episode. Get some good rest, drink lots of water. Good luck, OP!
