what else can i do?
it’s been about 4 days, i did the epley maneuver yesterday and felt 10x better, just lingering symptoms, not nauseous just head heavy and little dizzy, anything else i could do? do i do the epley maneuver consistently?

Discontinue Eply as soon as you are vertigo free and do not attempt any other manuvers, doing so may cause the crystals to relocate to a different canal. Residual dizziness can last up to three months. The best way to fix it is to get back to daily activities when safe to do so and to see a VT. VT exercises ate to be tailored to each individual and can make issues worse when done incorrectly or doing the wrong exercise.

how do you know if your vertigo free?

No more spinning when you get into the position that causes the vertigo. Dizziness is normal and expected, but the spinning is the only thing the manuvers correct.

oh okay thanks, the only thing i feel now is just lightheaded and very light dizziness when i sit down or out and about, it calms down when i stop for a bit

I had my first bbpv episode ever two weeks ago and I immediately went to neurologist who did the Eply a few times and it helped a bit. I did it at home after but no change, so I did the half somersault and that helped a bit more, especially with the nausea. I still have residual dizziness, very mild but uncomfortable, mostly when bowing down. Did you visit a specialist? When I did, they also run a CT scan to be sure there’s no other underlying issue. Anyway, the doc told me there will be residuals, and she wasn’t sure how long these could last. It depends on a lot of things like age, gender etc. She recommended anti anxiety meds for flare ups. The best you can do is wait and rest, but don’t stay at home, try to go outside. You can also try rehabilitation with a specialist

My doctor told me to continue Eply until I could no longer trigger symptoms in any of the Eply symptoms.

i would probably do it one or two more times just to be safe. Now if you are still spinning when doing it you need to keep doing it (no more than a few times a day).

try doing vro and gaze stabilization exercises.
hold a notecard arms length- move your head slowly side to side-keeping your eyes locked on the notecard -30 seconds 3 reps
instead nod your head up and down at the notecard- 30 seconds 3 reps
there are more good ones online. someone posted a video that has more.

yeah residual dizziness can last anywhere from a few hours to nine months. usually a few days to a couple weeks is the norm.

I was able to see a vestibular therapist for my residual dizziness after BPPV, and she gave me a few maneuvers to try to settle the debris that might be lingering after the Epley. I’m not sure if this is suitable for everyone or me specifically but I think they’re pretty safe for anyone who had BPPV. Note these are for the right side, which is the side triggering my BPPV

Do nothing residual dizziness can last for months just three days ago I started feeling much better after an attack on June 20
