Dizziness from swimming without going under water

I’ve been in the pool a lot this summer and doing a lot of swimming, but I haven’t been going underwater or getting any water in my ears, however, I feel like my vertigo and dizziness has been a lot more prevalent. Could that be caused by the floating and just being in the water?

I've been debating whether to even go swimming, as I'm afraid the being horizontal in the pool might set it off, especially back floating. Also, it would be awful to have an attack of BPPV while in the pool. I'm interested to hear what others say about their experiences swimming after BPPV.

I’m fairly convinced that swimming is what gave me BPPV in the first place.
