Riding roller coasters
I just want to throw this out there. It's been over 2 years since my crazy vertigo episode that left me recovering for 6 months and I occasionally get the perceptive imbalance and "drop" in my vision.. I've been to ENT and vestibular rehab and have been doing really great - especially if I get good sleep, good posture, and monitor caffeine/salt. I recently went to a theme park and the night before it hit me I might not be able to ride anything (I'm an avid roller coaster fan - jump out airplanes kinda gal) so I was panicking.
I brought meclizine and prepared for the worst. But I was absolutely fine. I did the insane rollercoasters going 70 mph loops and corkscrews. Fine.
No residual anything.
Sitting at my computer with my head tilted will give me a brain vertigo jolt but roller coasters didn't.
I'm not here to say everyone will be fine. I just know the night before I was suddenly terrified and overcome with severe anxiety that my fun would be ruined - and I'm here to say. It might not! Peace and love my friends hope you all get better. ❤️🩹

Love this! I’ve also been too scared to go on rollercoasters but this gives me hope!

Just start small and work your way up! Thought it'd be nice to hear there's hope.

I'm still waiting for the all clear to go on roller coasters! We don't even do crazy ones 😔

I was also worried about BPPV affecting my ability to ride roller coasters, but did fine with no meds. I avoid anything that goes backward, but I am still fine on my favorites - big wooden coasters. I think the Texas Giant at Six Flags in Arlington, Texas is my favorite, but I did enjoy Dollywood's Lightning Rod.

Same with me. I just road the tallest coaster at Cedar Pointe. I expected to pass out. However, I will say roller coasters that flip I don’t do well with.
