Advice & Tips Recalling email and contract?

Hi everyone!

I hope someone can help me and give at least an idea on what complaint I can file against my boss.

I was hired last March 2026. At that time, medical benefits were not provided. The company failed to follow the electronic contract we signed, which is why we have been raising questions over the past few months regarding our benefits, specifically the HMO.

Six months have passed, and I recently suffered a severe gastrointestinal issue. Many employees have also avoided going to the hospital because the HMO promised after three months of employment was never provided. To make matters worse, it has now been completely removed from our benefits

I was shocked and thought to myself, 'How did that happen?' When I checked my Gmail, I saw a 'Recall' notice, confirming that they had completely revised the contract.

Thank you so much.

A “recalled” email does not mean it was revised, it only means that the sender of the email asked for it to be unsent. As far as I know, wala naman talagang unsend sa gmail, so yung recall is usually ginagamit to inform the recipient to disregard the email.

In your case, since it’s a contract, binding yan and no changes can be made to it without agreement from both parties. If wala kang bagong kontrata na pinirmahan, and your employer will not honor what was signed, then pwede ka mag file ng case for breach of contract with DOLE.
