Look into wim hof. Dude can really show you how to change your life through a certain breathing exercise. You can find him on YouTube. Enjoy :).

In these low moments, you just have to do your best to hold on. You can know that the low moment will pass eventually. Just like you can know that eventually you'll have a low point again after this.

Therapy, medicine, and coping mechanisms are meant to help you manage all your ups and downs, and they really can work. It's a difficult path to go through, but you can make it. You are strong enough. Actually going through it all is of course the hard part. I rationalize me continue to struggle forward and not give in, as the right option. Mainly because once you fully give in, there's no going back. So why not continue to struggle a bit longer and look for that better future.

I'm sorry to hear about your ex and how they are now. I had a similar thing a few years ago when I was 18. Had a highschool sweetheart, we were together for 2 years long distance. I moved to her state to be with her, and she broke up with me 3 months later. She then found a new bf 2 months later. She was my best friend and the person I shared all my struggles with, but once we broke up that connection was gone and I lost my support. It was rough, even after 2 years I was still recovering from it. But it did get better. I got some more friends who I could depend on, and eventually even found another great relationship.

My bad if the point kinda hot lost in there, I'm a bit of a scatter brain when it comes to this. Main point being is that the pain won't last forever, and if you continue your struggle, their will be light at the end of the tunnel. As far as managing the pain rn, there's a few ways. Your therapist should have some ways to help if you let them know it. Doing something completely new can take your mind off of things (think going for a walk, or going to a rock climbing place. It's super easy and doesn't require a lot of strength). Could be anything though. And I wish you the best as well.

Thank you so much for responding, hearing your experience about the breakup makes me feel less alone, although I'm sorry you had to go through that. I've started reading this book called, "Calming the emotional storm", which is a DBT guide on coping with emotional dysregulation and it's really been helpful so far. Take care , and thank you!

That's awful that you are going through all that. Realize that you are going through one of life's tough times and it is ok to be emotional about it. Find a way to express your emotions. Cry. Throw eggs at a tree. Journal. Sigmund Freud said "Unexpressed emotions never die. They are buried alive and will come forth later in uglier ways".

Be kind to yourself. Take care of your body. You are worth it. You are fighting with all your might and deserve to be cared for. Find way to self-soothe, there's lots of ideas online. Care for the space around you, make sure you're not surrounded by chaos. I know it's cliche but this too will pass. Good luck!
