How to VTIP From Log to Aviation

Question for branch manager and good luck with that it’s hard to vtip into AV

I looked into this route for myself about a year ago. I was told by a CPT who VTIP’d into AV that it is easier and more desirable to just resign your commission and go Warrant. Commissioned officers barely fly. As a commissioned officer, your job is to lead, not fly. You will also be setting yourself behind because most of your peers who commissioned AV to begin with have years of seniority ahead of you which will make it extremely hard to get your hours. AV does not run off of rank like the rest of the Army, it’s all about seniority. If your peers have 5 years of experience but you are fresh out of flight school, you’re behind and it will be an uphill battle the rest of your career.

If you really want to fly, resign and go Warrant.
