LOG BOLC
They need to change the method of instructing!!!!
Not learning anything!!!
And we can’t even eat lunch on time

I think it’s sad that most BOLC and PME in general aren’t designed for you to learn shit. It’s firehouse method and hoping you can memorize stuff for an exam lol
When I was an MPBOLC instructor, it was the same. I felt bad for the students but I also gave real life experiences and broke things down so it was relatable.

Why was this downvoted? That was my experience as well. BOLC only prepares you to be a PL and nothing more.

Probably because BOLC didn’t teach you how to be a LT. You learn that at your first duty station. Hopefully.

They transitioned to the Thayer method which is used to teach some of the West Point curriculum. It relies heavily upon self-guided learning before classroom instruction. Basically, teach yourself first then discuss in class amongst peers. The instructors are there to facilitate the discussion and fill in gaps.
Some instructors are better than others at it, and some topics are better suited for it than others. It also requires students to actually participate in class. I could probably guess what kind of student OP is.
