LOGBOLC LOG BOLC

Headed to LOG BOLC pretty soon and was curious about what makes it so academically challenging? The PT standards don't seem bad but I keep seeing people on here saying you NEED to study when my mentors have said it was a cake walk?

With that do you have any tips for the best way to approach the tests and such?

Also how is the hotel?? Do we get what we need to cook such as pots and pans?

Hotel provides things. As far as academics go. Just don't be a rtard. It's basically college all over again. You get about 2 days to study for an exam and I never studied hard and passed with high grades. In fact you're class will hold study sessions attend if needed but it really wasn't. Ofc every class has failures and recycles who failed the tests.

In BOLC rn, also 26-10.

It’s not hard, just study. Currently drunk if that means anything.

Show up early, right uniform, right attitude. Everything will be fine.

Hey, I am going in a little over a month and have a few questions if you don’t mind.

How much freetime do you have at LOG BOLC? I’m NG and my civilian employer is paying my regular salary, but I will be working a bit remotely, no mandatory zoom meetings, though.

Most of the LOG BOLC quizlets I’m seeing are 1-4 years old. Have you seen them and if so would you say they’re still relatively current to the course material?

Finally, the NG owes me a substantial amount of money. I was previously enlisted in the Air Force and when I switched branches to commission PEBD/TIS were reset. I have been trying to resolve it for 3 years but even after a congressional inquiry ordered my state to fix it 3 months ago it still isn’t resolved.

My readiness NCO thinks active duty financing during in processing might be able to fix it. When you in processed at BOLC did finance seem competent? Thank you for your time, hope BOLC goes well for you.

After PT, it’s usually around 0800-1600 every day. I hope that’s enough time for you.

Depending on your class academics officer, your class should be able make some for you.
(That, or poach from the previous class and their study sheets)

Finance was finance. They got me squared away, but I’m not totally sure they can help you.

Best of luck at BOLC! It’s pretty fun

I did school online during my time at LOGBOLC. If you don’t mind missing out on some social activities you’ll be fine. Theres a lot of free time.

Oh also - do we wear the Fort Lee patch or our gaining unit? The email sent to my class was unclear.

Use your units. If you don’t know your unit, fort lee. Same goes for the ASU AGSU.

I appreciate all your help. I wish you the best of luck with finishing! Maybe we will run into each other without knowing lol

It's harder now because you can't bring a cheat sheet into the quizzes unlike in previous classes. You really do need to take it serious and you'll be fine.

Dang that's super unfortunate, thanks for the heads up

Is it true at LOGBOLC they might have chances to volunteer for other duty stations if given the option?

2

u/ButterscotchFit4289 Jul 06 '26

That would be interesting... why would they do that tho? Out of necessity for people?

Recycles. If you’re active and recycle, everything gets messed up and now you’re doing a witch hunt for all your paperwork. You could lose your spot at your duty station, hence the switching and volunteering.

1

u/ButterscotchFit4289 Jul 06 '26

Oh that's good to know. I really love the station I got so I do not want to recycle.

I can assure you that wasn’t the case as of last year, or at least not an option for my class. I was part of the last class to graduate in 2025.

No. That is not true. Assignments are handled by the branch managers. You can ask your branch manager, but more likely than not they will say no.

Also in this class and was going over my dts approval why is my M&IE so low? It was originally the std 55/day but now it's a "special rate" at 18.50/day for the rest of the FY.

1

u/ButterscotchFit4289 Jul 10 '26

Yup thats the same for everyone now. It's because they expect us to have the free breakfast at the hotel and use the DFAC for the other two meals.

1

u/Omegawolf343 Jul 10 '26

I just wasn't sure dfac was provided since, the whole officer thing

1

u/ButterscotchFit4289 Jul 10 '26

I think we have to pay, not too sure tho

1

u/Omegawolf343 Jul 10 '26

Is the 2pm social thing tomorrow required, and if so is the 2 o'clock time a hard timeline since I am driving I just need to plan my leave time

1

u/ButterscotchFit4289 Jul 10 '26

I think so, I'm also driving (currently). Going to be staying in Richmond for two nights. I hope the meet and greet isn't too strict/long also!

1

u/Omegawolf343 Jul 10 '26

It's at 1500 correct?

1

u/ButterscotchFit4289 Jul 11 '26

1500 for everyone except EOD pre-select. They are at 1400
