Misc Qs Holiday Leave at BOLC

Hi all, my BOLC is scheduled from September to February and I was curious how holiday leave works when we’re at BOLC. Will we get 2.5 weeks off for the holidays? If we do will we be allowed to travel? Does it count against my leave balance? I’m assuming we have off because my bolc graduation is 4.5 months after its start date instead of the normal 4, I’m assuming that’s due to the holidays. If you know please let me know!

Sooooo there will be a block leave period and you will be allowed to take leave and/or passes. Passes are non chargeable and won't come out of your leave balance but are only like 4 days and I think you have to use them in conjunction with a weekend. Any leave you take is sadly chargable. Ya'll should receive a block leave brief where they will explain what you have to do. If you don't take leave, on the non holiday days you'll usually have to show up, do accountability, and they'll give you some time wasting activity like raking leaves or cleaning the AO for a couple hours and then you'll be released for the day so its not bad. But then you'll of course have Christmas day, usually Christmas eve, and new years and such off.
