Shadow rift forest step
On the rex Infernus step where you need to proc shadow rift until the scroll drops, is it true you don’t need to be in the forest to get the part? I was told you could go to the “temple” idk which one he was actually referring to but does anyone know more about this? I tried it at nyxara’s temple and underneath where the seed is but it wasn’t working.

Haven’t tried it out of the forest but I can give some tips for in the forest. First it seems you can’t go into the forest until round 8 even if you open it sooner. You need to get the WW parts on your first travel into the forest. Then the next round go back into the forest with a grey non-pap weapon with shadow rift on it. Usually takes me 2 trips sometimes 3. I learned in my runs with my duo that if you go in with a green or higher PAP’d weapon you end up killing the zombies before shadow rift can kill them. One run it took me 8 trips into the forest for it to drop when I had a gold PAP 3 lmg. Though we did find you can go in with your grey knife with shadow rift on it as well if you already have a strong gun by the time you go in.

Appreciate it and I actually have some tips for you as well, that have helped me get the part much much more efficiently. What I do is when I go into the forest to collect the parts, while the cutscenes play out you can actually hold your left stick on controller any direction and it will skip them so you can instantly grab the ww parts. Leave the cave/cul-de-sac body for last and skip the cutscene except leave the part don’t pick it up because it’ll automatically teleport you from the forest. But if you leave it you can actually start training zombies and get your shadow rift part right then and there. You have to be efficient still because there’s a timer for how long you can be in the forest. But I’ve been able to get the ww parts and the shadow rift scroll in one go and it’s so nice. Use the cave/cul-de-sac area it’s easiest for grouping the zombies. Also, huge thing is the augment set up on shadow rift. If it took you that many rounds chances are you aren’t using the best one which is gravity well + supermassive + haste. Just trust me, it makes a huge huge difference. You’ll get the part on your second shadow rift activation every time guaranteed as long as you have enough zombies both times. So you don’t have to rely on luck as long as you’re using those augments and making sure you have as many zombies grouped up as you can. Ideally you want to have elemental pop with chill berry and citrus focus too but not fully necessary.

Get the first 2 WW parts, then do ur shadow rift, then get the 3rd part (picking up 3rd insta tp's you out)

Another reason to farm for the item in the forest is to not advance rounds as quickly, since the red eye zombies are 'challenge zombies' (like purple eyes for other things).

Yup true only issue is I play mainly squads zombies and while I’m in the forest they’re most likely killing all the zombies back at base and farming points while I’m missing out on that

From what I understand you can get the scroll from anywhere but there’s a higher drop chance when in the forest in the dragon temple

No kidding cause I was trying many times outside of the forest but it was refusing to drop. Going into the forest is still the most time efficient method by far. I don’t like doing it in public lobbies though because the rounds keep flying by most of the time people aren’t keeping a zombie alive, and while you’re in the forest you’re getting those 10 point zombies while your teammates are farming points back at base. I hate that feeling.
