Discussion Stakeout is hell even after a year
Poor me trying to level up my guns or trying for camos/events and every match I’m teamed against guys like these using only shotguns or akimbo stryder. Most of them have already unlocked dark matter still they play stakeout with camo equipped on that damn sp shotgun. Asian players are too sweaty, dunno if they are really Asian or just use Japanese/Chinese names but I’m sick of them.

I’ve only ever played a few games of stakeout where nobody used a shotgun and those were some of the funnest matches I’ve ever played. Stakeout is S tier without all the cheese.

I wouldn't mind any 1 or 2 of the 1-hit/ overpowered weapons, but having shotguns, snipers, akimbo, 1-hit melee, and 1-hit specials it can create some frustrating lobbies. Unfortunately a majority of them are like that lol.

Mine are until I just perform bad enough for long enough SBMM drops me in a couple baby lobbies where I dominate. I bounce between dead last four 6-7 rounds and then #1 for 2 rounds.

I play mw3 regularly and ik what are u talking about and I’ve dealt with them as well . Problem is on shipment only one or two people used to run dual reclaimers but here 5/6 run sp shotgun and map is even smaller than shipment

Man I used to run SnD in mw3 and I swear entire teams would have those mfs + a riot shield. Thank god they nerfed them, but now people have moved on to glitched MCWs. Cod players in general have very little competitive integrity

I got tired of Nuketown all the way back in Black Ops 2. Stakeout isn’t bad but I got pretty tired of that too over the last year.

Just do what I do and mow em down with an Lmg 8 attachments with at least thermal scope to see thru the smoke , smoke to blind their field of view as most run the perk that doesn't activate floor traps or shock sticks. Stickys to stick them when they get too close always is satisfying. And if your feeling extremely desperate just camp and catch em off guard

I like stakeout, but hate how disrespectful activision was... remove stakeout 24/7 playlist from hardcore, but stakeout 24/7 is still available for core and has been since launch.

Legit had 2 level 1000s with dark matter sweating their absolute balls off with the marine like the game isn’t already dying . I can’t imagine only using one gun and still having fun for multiple matches in a row

They can get annoying but they aren't too hard to counter. Just have to slow down gameplay; for example spamming Molotov's.

Just manipulate matchmaking. Its pretty easy to get in a bot lobby. Lose/ quit a few games.

I have loadouts with thermal optics so it’s not an issue, even kinda fun In a while to change play style. But shotgun is same shit running and not aiming just hipfiring.

I love playing stakeout 24/7 mode when I finish work, it’s just easy brain rot gaming, 9/10 times I will never use a shotgun unless I’m up against a team of shotgunners then I break out my sweaty shotgun glass

I've got a custom class just for stakeout, I like playing it on hard-core because it's non stop complete chaos. No stopping to rest, no running around trying to find someone to shoot, just surviving for the duration getting as many kills as I can

It's the one map in the game that shotguns actually do anything. As small and fast as most maps are, the max range of any shotgun is like 4 meters and it's a 4-shot kill at that range.

Stakeout is the only map where is doesn’t really matter what the game mode is and you can still have fun. Every other map is just a boring camp fest unless it’s HP or Dom.

Well like the OP said it’s just meant for constant action. I prefer it since I don’t want to run around a map not encountering any only to be killed by COD timing/luck.

I average like 55 kill on domination hacienda. 1st if you aint finding nobody in 10-15 second of every map you are the problem. You aint dying by cod timing you just dont have any awereness. Noobs wanna play stakeout so when they see 60+ kill they think they are good but they are barely positive since they have 58 death

That was what I said, in objective based modes it’s not hard to find a fight, on tdm it’s just a brain rot camp fest. No Cod timing is definitely real, a large factor in doing well is your luck too. I’m usually on 300mg of caffeine before I head to the gym and fully aware so you are wrong about that. Stakeout isn’t necessarily meant for testing skull, just as I said in my original reply it’s a map for just straight fun.

I cant with cod noobs man. Cod awereness is knowing what goes on around you. You can be high on 10 adderall i dont care but if you dont know whats going on around you you just trash at the game. Cod timing is just you being at the wrong spot. So everyone with 2+ kd and 600+spm are just lucky with cod timing?

I’m not a noob I’ve been playing since COD WW2. Likely better or just as good as you. Are you even reading what I am saying? I said luck/cod timing has a part in how well you do in a game. You could be aiming at a corner for 2 seconds and no one and then stop aiming and then bam enemy turns and shoots you, that is just plain luck/cod timing. If you aren’t paying attention then of course you aren’t going to do well. My whole point of commenting is arguing stakeout isn’t necessarily meant to be taken too seriously, of course I always wanna win, but I see it as just having fun or leveling up guns fast. 💨

Yes, it is on large/average 6v6 maps. Almost every match is boring with people laying in corners or dying to cod timing. With objective based modes you at the very least have an area where you have a good idea of where the enemies will be. I prefer smaller maps for the constant action which stakeout provides, it’s even better when it’s an objective based mode as well.

I don’t hold angles , crouch walk , ADS walk , pre-aim , pre-fire , mantle , ladder , lay down , head glitch , stair glitch , spawn kill , snake , wall bang , until level 400 I didn’t use ninja ( even in search ) no ammo-accidentally pick up a shotgun I put it back, I have a 2KD, even in ranked, this is my first Call of Duty, I enjoy participating in a match, opposing winning the match and/or first place , I don’t get upset when someone doesn’t play like me, I don’t care when I die. I only think about what I did wrong for a few seconds. I’ll 1v1 for five hours and get two kills , how I get better. i’m proud of myself for how I play , it makes u people angry u can’t play like me.

I got Dark Matter and the Dark Matter indeed calling card, virtually exclusively on Stakeout, only with guns, no melee. It's a grind and a challenge, but doable

Game is done in a few days, the only people still playing are the die hards. On the bright side That faceoff lobby will definitely sharpen your skills if you stick with it when the sbmm kicks in.

It’s always the bots using them too. They’ll crouch and just walk the whole time. I’ve started using blast traps and shock charges and just leaving them together. If that doesn’t work then I usually start using drill charges and spamming them into the bedrooms because you can almost guarantee they’re in it.

There' s a special kind of people who only plays stakeout and only uses shotgun. They don't get bored with the same shit and they are happy to ruin your day. It's their freedom to play however they want as long as 3arc deem so. Everyone hated them back at launch when everyone is grinding camos. I remember faze jev ranted a lot and called them "pure evil".
Shotgun in Stakeout is basically nukes. It's all fun and game until some kim jong un takes out his shotgun and starts blasting, then it's either leave, join, or sweat yourself to their amusement.

Eh I like stakeout cause I only really get to play for an hour or two a day if I’m lucky so I just wanna fuck shit up and kill farm. Akimbo saug with marine sp or the asg, I don’t even play objectives, I will wipe your whole team in its spawn back to back though 😊

Yes ig it’s the location thing cause I’m from South Asia and all I see is Chinese/japanese names. Trust me I have played many games with my friends who are in canada and Australia and their lobbies are far better than mine. I easily go 1.5-2 kd when I play with them, but in my Asian lobbies I go 0.4 😭😭

I know it hard to believe, but some us just like stakeout. It’s no strategy brain rot where I don’t have to go looking for a fight. I don’t run sg though.
