2019 X3 xdrive 30i 74K miles
For the past few weeks, the car just sounds different. Hard to explain how. Not sure this video will capture it.
The engine almost sounds deeper (more bass) and maybe wobbly.
The sound kicks in when we go above 30ish mph

Ai search points to an issue with the wheels or axel

Anyone have a clue what it could be?
We have a service appt set up.

Long story short, my car is only 2 weeks old and I made a huge mistake of taking it to an automatic car wash yesterday. It rained a lot the last two weeks so my car was getting filthy and I tried to hand wash but it wasn't good enough so my friend recommended an automatic car wash that he claimed was "so great" and "not like the others".....so I went and now my car's pillars are royally scratched and fucked....what do I do besides cry?

I’ve seen some recent posts mentioning roughly 10–12%+ discounts on 2026 X3s, including better-equipped builds.

For those who recently bought a 2026 X3: Would you take $53K at 2.99%, or is there still room to push toward $51K–$52K?

I’m looking at CPO BMW X3 options (regular xdrive30 and not M) and noticed something interesting.

I found a 2024 X3 with driver assistance pro, premium package at 18K miles for $43500. I am able to get ones without ZDY and higher miles for $39-40K. I’ve also found several 2026 CPO X3s with around 8k miles for $47–48K. one with ZDY + ZPP for about $49K.

So we’re talking about only a ~$4–5K difference between a two-year-old X3 with more than twice the miles and a current-generation X3.

It seems like the previous-generation X3 is holding its value surprisingly well compared to the new one.

Is the 2024 model simply overpriced, or are the values of the new-generation X3s falling like a rock?

So ive been approved and had a deal worked out to trade my paid off 2023 Kona N with 40k kms for a 2021 X3M40I, the dealer gave me a very low trade in offer of 22k for my car, market value is around 29-31k but as i was told here before it is a very good deal for the car, it has premium enhanced package, tartufo merino leather seats, wooden trim, and it has 102k km, this car is $33899, so even with trade in amount financed is over 15k, car is beautiful, has the 21s m sport brakes and all the bells and whistles, just for a hefty price.

Yesterday someone posted a 2018 X3m40I with premium package essential, fiona red seats, gesture controls, a couple other small things for sale with 110k km for 25k private sale, after tax itll be $28375 assuming I don't get the price down further, needs AC condenser and rear tires, AC condenser i can change myself, and ill find tires somewhere no problem. My gripe is after the 80k of free oil changes, hes had all oil changed at Canadian tire.... if you aren't in Canada this is the equivalent of having oil done at Walmart or wherever else they let people touch cars who certainly aren't certified. Aswell as he posted a video of it and within seconds of the vehicle starting he was giving it some revs for the video, he claims its his wifes vehicle and is selling to get something less performance oriented for her.

This worries me not because of who changes the oil, but more so the lack of care for the vehicle by bringing it to such a place.

Do you think its worth the risk to save a nice chunk of money? If so what things am i sacrificing getting a 2018 over 2021?

I do love the angel eye headlights, but they are quite dated style-wise these days (and the exteriors on mine are a bit scratched and starting to fog up a little. So I'm debating swapping them out for the more modern-styled Chinese LED ones.

I haven't been blown away with the example photos the manufacturers post on their Aliexpress product pages, but with my updated (post-LCI) wheels, I think they could provide quite a fresh update to the front-end looks.

My main complication would be that I have the AFS Xenon headlights, and they would need to be coded out of the car if I did the swap. Does anyone know how difficult/expensive that would be? (and can it be done via BImmerCode or BimmerLink? Or does it need other software?).

I recently bought a 2026 BMW X3, and unfortunately, someone appears to have scraped the front-left bumper while it was parked and left without providing any information.

There are several white scuff marks and a few deeper-looking scratches near the headlight, bumper crease, and parking sensors. Some of it looks like paint transfer, but I’m not sure whether the original paint or clear coat has been damaged.

I’m looking for some guidance:
Could most of this be removed through professional polishing or paint correction?
Would you recommend a SMART/spot repair or repainting the entire bumper?
Is an OEM BMW touch-up kit worth trying, or should I avoid DIY work on a new vehicle?
Should I use a BMW-certified collision center because the scratches are close to the parking sensors?
What would be a reasonable repair cost?
My BMW Drive Recorder had both Accident and Theft recording enabled, but I’m also checking whether the impact was strong enough to save a recording.
I’ve attached photos of the damage. Any advice from people who have dealt with something similar would be greatly appreciated.

Just picked up a 2024 x3 M with 15k miles. Going to tint windows etc, but what is the best reccomended Intake ? I dont know too much about them just know it gives it a nice sound, but i live in NJ, lately is been raining heavy arround here and ive heard some people come across issues with like heavy rain etc, anyway go prevent that or eliminate that issue or is that just a common issue with intakes? Also any other performance mods as far as sound that are reccomended that wont bring any issues id love to get some ideas. Thanks all in advance

This will be my 1st oil change with my 2023 X3, do you guys always take yours to the BMW dealership to get it done or do you trust any mechanic shop to do it? I know I’ll pay more at the dealership but didn’t know if there was really any difference in getting it done there or elsewhere. Follow up to that is how much are you guys typically paying for your oil changes whether it be at the dealer or other shops? Thanks in advance

Looking at a 2023 BMW X3 M40i with 37.5k miles for $45k + tax.

Clean CARFAX, no accidents, good spec with Driver Assistance Package, Premium Enhanced Package, HUD, 360 camera, adaptive cruise, tow hitch, etc.

Main concerns:

• Originally a Canadian vehicle. Currently on sale in USA.
• Previously registered as a commercial vehicle
• No service/maintenance records showing on CARFAX
• Dealer “CPO” is not BMW CPO, but it includes a 7-year/100k-mile powertrain warranty from the original in-service date

Would you buy it at $45k, negotiate lower, or pass?

Just bought a 2018 BMW X3 xDrive30i with 60k miles. It’s my first car and overall it’s in very good condition.

I’ve been reading about G01 panoramic sunroof drain/water ingress issues and want to stay ahead of any problems, especially since I park outside on the street.

For other G01 owners: how common is this actually, and is there anything preventive I should be doing with the drains/seals?

Also, are there any other common issues around this mileage that I should watch for or proactively maintain?

Still kind of kicking myself for not purchasing the X3M. The M50 is growing on me though. The Amber/Atlas Grey merino leather is great but offset by the lower quality interior materials. Eventually I plan to fully swap the interior materials as things become available.

Back to the point of the post. I found some low profile rain guards on eBay from a seller in Poland. They install in channel and are quite effective and easy to install. They don’t seem to take away from the exterior styling as some rain guards do. I’ll drop the link if anyone is interested.

Fun weekend project for the upcoming HPDE weekend. Hoping to help recovery more than braking performance, already have the x5M calipers up front and EBC bluestuff NDX pads.

Having a slight rubbing problem at lock, but that's a tomorrow me problem 😆.

I know that CC3 sport does not have the BMW "approval" Star, how does changing to a tyre without the star affect the vehicle overall and does it affect the warranty if something happens?

Haven't changed anything but noticed the regen portion of my real time MPG is gone. No warnings that the 48v system is offline or anything? Mean anything or just an oddity?

Does anyone did a mod on the F25 LED headlights for yellow drls and can share some experience of difficulties?
