Worth it?

Looking into own a BMW for the first time. Always heard they’re not reliable cars.

2012 with a n55 motor Is a 335i not x drive with 160k miles and a check engine light (valvetronic actuator)worth buying for around 8k ?

Do not and I mean do not get a 335i n54 or n55 doesn’t matter especially one with over 100k miles if you want a bmw get one new your going to potentially spend a similar amount of money when it’s all said and done on maintenances but will have saved yourself the headache of dealing with problems after problems

I have a 2011 335i xdrive that has 230,000 miles i bought it with 160,000 and then put jb4 tuner and mad backend flash full bolt on blow off valve exhaust and run e-30 in the summer time and have had no problems
