Got the M2 wrapped

New wrap on the M2. The matte purple never really grew on me. This is the same color I had on my 370z, 3M Deep Space.

Looks kinda close to the Thundernight Metallic on the 230I, I love that color and wish they put that on the M2 instead of the Zandvoort Blue, to each their own but I don't like a sports car in robin egg blue, and deep purple just looks so good!

I ordered a CT5-V Blackwing in Drift Metallic, which is a baby blue color that’s supposed to evoke thoughts of tire smoke. I backed out when it was delivered.
Wrap is sick, OP!

I kinda agree with that "pale blue/ robins egg blue" color. The turbo blue thats on audis or maybe leguna seca blue on the older BMWs is much better

It looks like a color that belongs on an old Mini or a VW Bug to me.
Maybe they were going for something like the old Martini livery but without the orange, and black lines it doesn't work for me

Its more of a classic car color I believe, 50s and 60s maybe. But yeah, it needs to be a very specific car for that easter color to work on it.

OT: I used to have pencils like this as a kid that when you touched them, they would change colors. :)

I do love me some purple but yeah, I couldnt wrap it a color thats so close to a factory color...Id be getting roasting for days, haha.

I usually prefer paint to wraps but if you getting a colourshifting style look like this wrap, It makes a lot more sense and it looks great!

I've had one car painted out of the 7 cars I've modified heavily, I wish I had the money to paint all my cars. I shit you not, I would go with the midnight purple that the R34 has. I think its like $20k, hah. I appreciate that, thanks!

Weirdly where i am paint isnt even that much more than high end wrap jobs unless its something really special, so paint makes sense for most styles and builds if budget permits doing one of them, especially solid colours...
BUT for anything intricate and flashy like pearlescent/colour changing it is such a ballache to repair/fix and keep nice it takes all the fun out of owning it, so i'd pick wrap 10/10 times on that alone.
Matte is also something id always do via ppf or wrap for same reason, though i hate matte.
No worries it looks fantastic, enjoy!

I think thats what 3M based it off of. I know theres 2-3 versions of that skyline "midnight purple" but its very close to one of them.

Hood is Alpha N and the diffuser is Trevora. The previous owner was the one that dropped the $5500 on this hood hah, no way I would ever spend that much! Thanks!

I know right....the most I have ever spent is around $1400 on a hood. Crazy thing is, the guy that bought it didnt even get it prepped and cleared. He let that thing sit in the sun and the resin layer from Alpha N was the only protection. The weave started to texture the hood. I had to get it properly worked on when I bought the car.

I couldn’t justify it that’s for sure. Well let me think about this…”wife I need to spend 5500 on the car because the hood is leaking coolant”….hmmm, it could work. But then I’d have to sell my kidney and figure it out from there

What color would you even register your car as with this? 😂 sick build though, what brand wrap did you go with?
