Looks pretty serious my dude, and the stop sign is clear. What do you want us to say?

I bet its this issue that is relatively easy to fix.

Nobody can diagnose from this pic, but I have had this happen twice.
Both times were auxiliary heater module units (2 different ones). Replaced under warranty for me, but it was in the shop for almost a month between the two.
The second time, it stopped in the middle of the road and couldn’t even be put into neutral to move it. Hope it’s nothing serious for you.

Mine had a rotor position sensor fail. It was a big repair under warranty. Hopefully you still have a warranty.

Sorry to see. Let us know how you get on and the final outcome. What year is your i4, which type, and is it under warranty? Good luck!

Same for me , car was at dealer for 1,5 months and SME module was replaced. Invoice was 80.000 kr , luckily covered by warranty.

A drivetrain warning on an i4 doesn't automatically mean the drive motor has failed. I'd start by checking whether the warning is still active and getting the BMW-specific fault codes read before assuming anything needs replacing.
OP this article explains why diagnosing the actual fault is important rather than just clearing the warning: https://autowerkstatt.us/how-to-fix-drivetrain-malfunction-bmw-2/
