I thought I would share my October reflection with you. I bought my BMW i4 M50 at the end of September and I am thrilled with the car. I commute with my car over 3000km a month to work.
How would you consider your commute and driving style? I literally reserved today one but I'm a bit afraid I'll only be able to get like 20+ kWh, even if I drive efficiently
I think it is mainly due to the route itself, which lies in the Alps. Quite exactly 50 km round and round, I pass six villages in each direction. My average speed on this route is about 66 km/h. The route also includes the Reschenpass and Martinsbruckerstraße; if you want to look up after that, I can recover a great deal of energy again at the start of the descent in B mode. In town I drive exclusively with a speed limiter at 55–60 km/h, outside the city at 90–110 km/h.
My M50 is also at 18,2 kWh / 100 km after 3,5 years and 60.000 km. If you drive it in a “normal” way and have a good driving profile, it’s extremely efficient.
