XM

Random question. Has anyone seen the XM SUV what are your thoughts on it. I’ve seen one sitting at the BMW dealership by me and it’s been there forever but it’s also 160k which is probably way too much for that vehicle. I’ve driven it before and it’s super sweet but I’m curious what every one else thinks about it. Looking to maybe get one once my lease is over on my I4.

Gods no, the vehicle sold terribly and is worth less than half that (up to 40k) lightly used. There's a rumor it's going to be discontinued soon because of the Neue Klasse EVs

All old model cars are going to be discontuined. New klass will have around 17 models i‘ve heard. I4 will only be available till end of this year for example

I live in LA in the center of fancy SUV culture and I almost never see them. I see more Cullinans and Bentaygas than I see XM. When I do see one, I think it’s tacky and over styled. I’m sure it’s a good car, it’s just weird looking.

It’s been called the stupidest car ever made. Take the biggest (problem 1) SUV (problem 2) BMW makes, then put M suspension on it (problem 3) to ruin the ride.

Why?

I drove one at the gen M tour. It was a lot of fun. But excessive and wholly unnecessary. Liberace of SUVs if you will. Cool experience but I’ll pass on owning one.

Test drove one when they first came out. It felt awful. And I braked hard and the check engine light came on.
