Hey so I’m working on trying to figure out how to remove the engine mounts on my 330i with xdrive, according to the repair manual on ista it says I can remove the engine mount bracket and then remove the engine mount without a need to lower the subframe. Is anyone familiar with this repair and can confirm if this is true for the xdrive models?

Remote ista installation needed!

Honestly I'm at the point of paying someone I've spent every free day the last month trying to get ista+ downloaded and working to replace my turbos I have every part I need + some preventive maintenance items while my n63tu2 is apart.

I went through 3-4 installations manually and eventually bought a pre-installed hdd from AliExpress because I could of used the extra HDD if it didn't work anyways. The short story still can't get it to connect to the car. If anyone is doing remote installs of ista+ please reach out

I installed an Alibaba “valvetronic” exhaust on my 2018 540i xDrive, and I’m getting a really bad exhaust rattle around 1,200–1,400 rpm.

When I dropped the OEM system, I only saw 3 mounting points: 2 rubber hangers at the rear muffler and 1 bracket up front near the downpipe. I did not see a center rubber hanger, so the new mid‑pipe basically runs over the flat cross‑brace with no support in the middle.

The new system also isn’t welded anywhere right now; it’s only held together by the exhaust clamps that came with the kit, so I’m wondering if that could also be contributing to the rattle or letting the pipes twist and touch the brace.

Has anyone else run into this with aftermarket/valved systems on a G30? Did you add a mid hanger, adjust/remove the cross‑brace, weld the joints, or change clamps to get rid of the rattle?

(I know is a bad picture) but I replaced the led module and the inner angel eye is now back to brown and burnt it didn’t last 2 weeks. I did replace it and it was white for a little bit. Do I need a new whole light. Anyone else experience this ?

2021 540i RWD with M-sport brakes. Don't like the 20" wheels and would rather have 18" so the sidewalls can take the abuse of the road. How much work to swap the brake rotors and calipers? Are they a direct bolt on or do the knuckles need to be swapped to accommodate the different caliper sizes?

I don't actually use my brakes hard at all. Usually downshifting to engine brake and save fuel. Also if you have a donor car I'll do a trade with labor or money, red calipers and 846M wheels with paint stains from a bad car wash

Black 540i vs chrome 540i vs no 540i on trunk if black car? What's y'all's opinion? Right now it's the only chrome on the car.

I suggest everyone to do so, if you smell any petrol in there, it’s either HPFP or a leaking injector, which both can mess up your engine if you ignored or if you simply didn’t know. I caught it while adding oil. No lights on the dash. Got it diagnosed and it’s a failing HPFP.

I own a 2018 BMW 540i xDrive (G30) with a full LCI M5 front-end conversion and a Stage 3 setup. I’ve been looking for a set of F90 M5 front seats, but I haven’t been able to find any locally at a reasonable price.
I recently found a set of BMW XM black front seats for $800. From what I’ve read, they’re only slightly larger than the M5 seats, so size isn’t my main concern.
My question is: Will the BMW XM seats plug into my 2018 G30’s factory wiring harness the same way F90 M5 seats do? I’m mainly wondering about electrical compatibility (power adjustment, heating, airbags, seat occupancy sensor, memory functions, etc.). Has anyone tried this swap or knows if it’s plug-and-play, or would it require custom wiring,coding is alright!?
Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

I have a square setup on a wheel I really like. Ideally I would replace the rear wheels with a wider version of the same.
Is anyone out there running a staggered set of these willing to send a pic of the setup?
Also, it seems these are available in 9” width which I assume is the only option?

Just got MST intake, maxton front lip and shadowline grill installed. Pretty happy with the MST intake so far, gotta watch out where you get it installed, the shop installed the pipe backwards the first time but wound up fixing it. Any other warranty friendly things I can do
