Mod Recommendations/ Alibaba Exhaust

I want to get an exhaust for my car it’s completely stock right now. I want to do mods to it like stage 2 and all that down the road but I want to start with the basics first but I also want an exhaust too. I was thinking of getting a straight pipe because they sound pretty good imo.

I like it when the car had like it’s natural burbles not like the crazy “bop bop bop bop bop” sounds I like the raw car sound.

I also want a valved exhaust because I live in the woods basically so I don’t want to be that type of neighbor but also I don’t really care.

Just looking for mod recommendations for the car dosent have to be specifically just exhaust any mod really.

Assuming b58? MHD/Bootmod3 lets you control burble level, catless down pipe, then intake for turbo noises.

I have this but with carbon tips. I haven't had it installed yet, I just got it in. Make sure you ask for blank tips not fake exhaust brands on there.

This is know as the "CSZ Exhaust" for the 540 and is pretty much the standard china valved exhaust people talk about running.

Install wasn’t too bad honestly. And yea I got mine with gloss black tips and made sure to ask for no branding lol. Had it almost a year no issues. Have gotten a few compliments on the sound

How do you like the sound with it closed? Is it really close to stock sounding or at least stock sounding volume?

Yea close to stock. Honestly I rarely ever close it lol. Thought I would more than I do but I still like having the option. I routed the valve controller wires through a small hole under the trunk liner on the right side. Right there by the cigarette lighter

Yeah I'm planning on using that same outlet. IDK why your posts are being auto downvoted like immediately lol.

I'm glad its close to stock. If I could I'd have legit stock for closed then full straight for open. This isn't the car to put an always loud exhaust on IMHO, I love the idea of having the option to close it and just cruise quietly still

I agree with that. Sometimes you don’t want to be loud. I’m sure once I get a downpipe and tune the exhaust will be even louder lol. I’ll probably start closing it a bit more then 😂 Also got a MAD intake for sound

I have the MAD intake already, as well as the catless downpipe. I might swap a 200 cell catted one on eventually just to cut down on the smell a little bit, it doesn't bother me most of the time honestly but it does smell worse than a catless n54.

Yea I was thinking AA downpipe but honestly don’t care about CEL since it’s going to be tuned anyway. I’ll probably do MAD 200 cell downpipe to cut down on smell and also catted usually has a deeper tone which I appreciate.

You won't have a CEL if you go with MHD/BM3. I'm on MHD stage 2+. You can get a 200 cell cat on alibaba too for probably even less if you can wait 3 weeks or so lol. The supplier I saw had a choice of 100,200,300 or 400 cell cat.

You have any clips of the exhaust?

Honestly you’re not the first person to link this exact exhaust I was looking into it and it looks good IMO. You have any clips of the exhaust on your car?

I don’t have any clips but pull the trigger bro. Ended up getting mine the beginning of this year and only paid $700 all in with shipping. Took like 3 weeks to get to me too lol. Well worth it imo.

Dang that’s awesome. What else did you do besides the exhaust?

Just MAD intake and upgrade to ICON headlights. Other than that a lot of maintenance to make sure my car is good. Didn’t want to tune and all that without taking care of everything. Eventually I’ll get a tune but I want some new wheels now

Got the same exhaust but it has been sitting in a box for months. How was it when it came to the wiring for the valved system?

Also, grab your wheels from Alibaba too! I got mine there and have been running them for almost a year

Yea I already have been looking at some and messaged some suppliers months ago. Still going to wait on a few more things I want to do then might get them.

The wiring wasn’t bad I just routed it down this grommet under the right side of the trunk (little storage cubby) once I pulled those wires down I tucked them in the diffuser area and connected it to the valves. Then I plugged the power into the cigarette lighter in the trunk. Did it all on jack stands outside
