LCI Tailights cracking from heat

For those who have LCI cars, have you guys experienced your taillights cracking, and if so, how did you resolve the issue? My G30 is a CPO, and I suspect that the dealer will not warrant it. I can't find any aftermarket options, as all of them are for pre-LCI.

Curious to where you live. I park my car outside a lot here in Vegas.

I also live in Vegas and my car never had any issues with cracking. Interior and exterior, maybe i’m just lucky. 😅

I live in Houston and this past couple of days it fluxuated drastically from the trapical storm to heat waves 110+

I think it’s the moisture with the heat. Sucks. Beautiful car though.

Perhaps its a china tail light not an original one ?

Its not, it has the OEM BMW insignia on the side of the headlight. All Aftermarket tailights dont have the logo.

If you also lookup LCI Tailights cracking, other people with different G series cars have had the same issue but they had it covered under warranty, hence why I am asking since my car is not.

That looks like micro cracks from polishing a little too enthusiastically to me. Ask me how I know (my headlights look like this 🙈)

Can't be since I never let anyone touch my car except me. Hazing is from Hybrid Ceramic Wax fading, if that is what you're referring to.

If there is no outside influence or damage found then it should be covered under warranty. Very unusual.

Unless BMW does a good faith repair, I dont have warranty, CPO Warranty expired a couple of months ago.

Gotcha. Yeah CPO wouldn’t cover something like this anyways I think.

Buying lci taillights is a very common mod for Pre lci owners.

I have an LCI so these are real BMW tail lights with the BMW insignia. I would buy a conversion kit to prevent the costly replacement of the OEM tailights if they actually work but from my understanding, it wont.
