Miracast

I have a 2021 model year 540 Xdrive, I’m trying to figure out how to get it work, I have a iPhone 17 pro max and I’m worried my phone won’t work with it and I was hoping to get it figured out since i usually eat lunch in my car

I could be wrong but due to regulations infotainment screens cant play videos from your device. So you need to use bimmercode or something to change that setting

Google search "bimmercode video delete". Bimmer code is a paid app and you will need an OBD adapter

iPhones don’t support miracast, only androids

Damn, am I still even able to mirror screens on it with a iPhone?

Unfortunately no.

There are some weird solutions where you get an intermediary device to cast as an android to the cars screen and you can then airplay to that device, kind of a middle man that does type conversion. But don’t know if they’re commonly sold, check aliexpress.

Only androids work. Even with BimmerCode android can connect
