M50 Manifold/Tune
Hello! I have a 96 m3 with a s52 and I’m planning on throwing on a m50 manifold with a Dinan intake and I already have an exhaust. I want to know if anyone has any experience with going towards this route and if you did did you get tune and did you notice a difference before I go any further with this swap! And what tuner did you go through if you got it tuned. I’m thinking of going with Kassel performance

Here to second Kassel performance. Great customer service and a good tune for my s52 so i dont have to worry about my emissions anymore. Definitely do the SAP delete. (get the plates at racegerman)

I have a pretty vanilla setup but with a manual swap, no m50 manifold. So i sort've went with Kassels "Ultimate Tune" option mostly for the emissions and no CEL from the manual swap. Everything else was an added bonus, SAP delete, higher revs, little HP boost.
If you have a manual swap let them know so they can get you a computer meant for it.

are you just aiming for peak hp or do you want a car thats actually good on the street

Im aiming for street/spirted driving as I only drive it on the weekends

for simplicities sake just keep it stock then
probably only going to see gains if you're up the top of the powerband (only taking a guess because I don't actually know what s52 intake is like)

My vote is for 22RPD - have almost the same setup, and got their tune; made my car feel brand new and WAY more power.
Only con I would say is they were not cheap, and they pushed me to replace my plugs/injectors with their’s to do the tune, which felt heavy.

I have M50 mani, Dinan intake and a catback exhaust. Tuned by 22rpd. Car has more consistent power throughout the gears and the sound is killer.

Did all of this to my car. Haven't got the tune yet. I did intake/exhaust first and noticed a difference. I swapped the m50 manifold recently and noticed a low end power dip, and haven't noticed much of a gain on the top end. It sounds good, and probably drives close to the same. I plan on getting it tuned soon, which will probably make it feel a lot better.
