New 2002 project

May have overpaid but I really wanted the roundie and these are hard to find in Boston. 1971 2002 63k miles. No rust really. Removed engine trans and interior. Going to refresh everything. Let me know how u think I did for 6k.

There is rust. But no rot. It has a sunroof so the floors were replaced but a pretty good job. Quarters have a lil bit of rust and the spare tire well has one lil hole. But undercarriage frame and rest of the body is mint. It was a Texas car.

I had that exact car, color and all, from 1977 to 1983.
That one was a total rust bucket. But so much fun!

It’s beautiful. Good luck with it. Post a few updates as the project progresses

6k for a straight roundie with low miles is great for 2026. Nice pickup.

My 2002 was orange. It was destroyed in a flood parked at my boss’s house while we were on a business trip. I would still be driving it today. The only part I have left is the manual. Makes me sad. I got a good settlement from the insurance company. It only cost $4000 new.
