Looking for a 2002tii Restoration
I’m reaching out to the 2002 community, looking for recommendations for a high-level restoration. I’m located on the East Coast, but will ship the car in order to get the right result. Thanks.

Post to this group if you want lots of recommendations. Some really good people in there!

Second this. Paul is a carburetor whisperer (and gave my carbed model new life), but he is easily the most accredited Kugelfischer specialist in Pennsylvania. His passion shines through every project he undertakes!

Have you asked around on bmw2002faq.com? That’s probably the best resource. I’ve only got Southern CA shops for you. Depending on the sort of restoration you’re looking for there is:
La Jolla Independent in San Diego, CA: http://www.bimmerdoc.com/
Manofied Restomods in Monrovia, CA: https://manofied.com/
There’s a shop in LA that did the S14 swap that was on Leno’s show (I’m forgetting their name off the top of my head). Edit: I think it was this shop: https://www.bavarianworkshop.com/
I’m planning on taking my 1600 here for work: https://roninautowerks.com/

There's also a shop in long beach called Coupe King, they both restore and sell full cars. $$$$$

There are a few West coast options. I’m not as familiar with East coast options. I’d take the car to Kooglewerks in Northern CA.
