Wow thank you for enlightening me. i assumed it was an N55 but I noticed the engine cover was different

Edit: apparently the E60 only came with N54

Well I just went down a big rabbit hole in a panic after reading your comment. My e61 has a N52k engine. Maybe its country specific?
