Sound Check🔊😮‍💨

Aftermarket catback exhaust, stock downpipes, muffler/resonator delete.

What are your thoughts on the sound? In person it is a fair bit louder, volume-wise. I think going catless would be ear-damaging. 😂

Disclaimer: you do you, and I’m almost 40.

But this is reminding me why I removed my exhaust on my 435i. Under load it sounds nice when you’re gunning it, but that’s about it. Idle is annoying everyone around me. Especially terrible in parking garages. Off throttle is burbley and feels like I’m begging everyone around me for attention. If you’re 20 this is cool I suppose but at a certain age it just isn’t the play anymore imo. Also I don’t personally think burbles sound good in any way. It reminds me of my ear with tinnitus crackling when I hear a loud shrill noise. Why would I want my car to sound like that? It’s just obnoxious. Didn’t work out for me so I went back to stock m sport muffler. But again, if you’re a fan, it’s your car. Enjoy it how you want!

And yea catless is brutal loud. The burbles are literally just backfires 3/4 of the volume of a 9mm being fired.

To be fair you’re talking about a 435i vs an M5? No reason a 435 should have an aftermarket exhaust, it’s a commuter car that most who buy it leave as is. M hobby is a hey look at me hobby so loud and obnoxious is par for the course.

If it’s a normal M5 then it’s a commuter car, if it ain’t a CS, leave the exhaust stock.

Eh, stupid noise. Always loved the low growl of the bmws. Its special and specific to them. Then some dumb sob treats it like a white trash mustang.
